Monthly Archives: January 2021

Welcome 2021

Well what a year it’s been since my last New Year Post. We hope you’ve managed to get through with health and grace, and that the coming year proves to be less dramatic. Oh for a dull life!

There are no major changes to studio operations this year. Given the economic climate, we have decided to maintain the lesson fees as per last year with no CPI increase since 1st January 2019.

For potential new clients please peruse these pages and make contact about any available times. We welcome both regularly scheduled clients and ad hoc one off lessons for those in need of a quick brush up in preparation for audition or performance.

We do have a Covid-19 safety plan that is copied below to allay any concerns. We also offer on-line lessons via Zoom or Skype to those clients who may be out of town, interstate, overseas, or just plain cautious.

Deb and I wish you all the best for the coming year and look forward to another year of great music making.

Best wishes,

Geoff & Deb

Studio Covid-19 Safety Plan

Please do not enter the studio if you have:

• Fever or symptoms of respiratory infection (cough, sore throat, shortness of breath)

• Returned from overseas in the last 14 days, or travelled from or through a designated Covid-19 hotspot in the last 14 days

• Been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19: (coronavirus) in the last 14 days

Please allow time between clients before entering the studio for necessary surfaces to be disinfected.  On entering and exiting the studio please use the hand sanitizer provided on the bookcase next to the door, or BYO if preferred.

If you need to use the toilet please wash your hands thoroughly in the laundry with the liquid soap provided and dry your hands with the paper towels only.  Please place used paper towels into the bin provided.

It is preferred that only the student be in the studio, however if a parent or other party wish to enter please be conscious of social distancing rules.

Singers please bring a second copy of your music if I don’t have it in my library.  Be prepared to sing either from memory or “a cappella” if you are unable to provide this.   Safe distancing for singers requires that you keep to your side of the piano!

Pianists please refrain from touching your face, or wiping your nose or eyes for the duration of the lesson.  If you need to blow your nose or cough please re-sanitize your hands.

Please advise us if you feel unwell at any time during the lesson.  We respectfully reserve the right to refuse entry to the studio, or continuation of a lesson if a client appears unwell.
